Missing Program "One Cleanup Program"
[edit]I don't see any mention or reference to the EPA's "One Cleanup Program" of which I have found reports and information on. First on what I believe is a local FOIA site, and second on the EPA site archives.
There are multiple elements of notability in my belief, for example
-In relation to the York PA Article, as a site there is the first in the US to volunteer and enroll in the program
-Possibly with the Harley-Davidson Article, as that is the location of said site
-It's an EPA program, so it should at least be included in the EPA article
-Information on the "York site remedy" FOIA (?) page seems very thorough and complete, including reports and maps.
These two pages by themselves could possibly be used as a basis for expanding multiple articles or creating an article/articles.
So far, all I have done is include this program in the EPA article under the programs list. Darwulf (talk) 23:05, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
"Programs" section: Major reorganization and expansion needed -- Please help
[edit]The "Programs" section is still missing many basic summaries of EPA's major programs, despite this section being tagged as such ten years ago. I will add a basic structure for the section:
- Core programs (as mandated by the main authorizing statutes)
- Additional programs (enhancements & interpretations of the statutory missions)
- Past programs
I will add some descriptions for the individual core programs where I can, but I will need help from the many knowledgeable folks out there. Please help by adding concise descriptions with references. Currently we have a bunch of descriptions for many "additional" programs, but we need descriptions for many of the core components, particularly the Clean Air Act programs. There is good material in the articles for the various statutes, that can be used to develop brief summaries. Thanks. Moreau1 (talk) 23:08, 26 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Remove 'Undue weight' tag from Controversies section?
[edit]Just looking for consensus here. I edited this section a bit - pared down some less-relevant info, and reorganized the sub-sections. It seems more balanced now (though the language in this section could use improvement...)
Anyone second? 71.40.21.239 (talk) 20:27, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- The EJ and FOIA sub-sections are way out of date. They are too old to be informative and not worth placing in the chron section. Unless someone can provide current info/refs on these topics, they should be deleted. The first section (agency authority) is more recent and can be retained, for now. Moreau1 (talk) 18:05, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- Going to have to disagree. If information is or was true, it deserves to remain chronicled. Just because the section could be better, or more up-to-date, doesn't mean it should just be removed. 71.40.21.239 (talk) 21:55, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Review and suggestion
[edit]This wiki page looks well thought out and has great explanatory content. For a class I am reviewing pages to make sure there are no big errors and the only thing I could find was that a few of the citations are "not found", or do not pull up the proper article. There may be slight typos in the citation or loss of access to the article for further information.
Cheers! PaigeHerkemij (talk) 01:40, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, I am also in a class that is reviewing pages! I also felt this was a well-written page, save for a few missing references to Supreme Court Cases that have impacted the authority of the EPA. Also, I looked at the errors with the citations and noticed that many of the faulty links had a secondary "Archive" link, that led to the correct page. I am unsure if these were available during your evaluation but the issue seems to have been addressed.––Simba06 (talk) 23:37, 15 September 2024 (UTC)
Trimming minor details
[edit]I trimmed the history section to keep the focus on what the EPA did, rather than emphasize weakly connected details about personalities. Rjensen (talk) 23:34, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
